I MADE IT

Growing up in South Carolina, my passion for baseball started as a boy watching my grandfather coach the game. I remember thinking about how well his team played, and wanting to make him proud. My uncle and I carved out a field so we could play every chance we got. We moved to Detroit when I was 10, and it was my mission to continue to practice the sport any way I could. I finally had the chance to try-out for the team in highschool, but I was cut both freshman and sophomore year. I wanted to play so bad that I decided to transfer to another school to play. The coaches of my new school saw potential and I was afforded the opportunity to prove my skills. All my hard work paid off when I was drafted by the Detroit Tigers. I played professional baseball for 10 years cloning out my career with the St. Louis Cardinals. When I got the call to play for the Grand Rapids Sullivan’s, a west Michigan powerhouse amateur team, I took into consideration my future in the sport. It was there that I started training inspired youth for the love of the sport. Word spread and soon I was contacted to train potential local youth athletes regularly. It was those who believed in me that propelled my career and small business of 30 years,  now known as Morgan’s Next Level Training. We have trained countless youth  to go on and become powerhouse athletes to support their way through school and become well rounded professionals.
